Ageranos is a quaint , traditional village, just some kilometers from entering the Mani Region. The nearby medieval “Tower of Passavas”, still stands majestically today. It was built on the city of “LAS”, as people heard in the 2nd century from the world-traveler ‘Pavsanias’ . A few remaining magnificent stone towers and clusters of old, traditional Mani homes beautify the Ageranos landscape, with grandure of the panoramic mountains and sun-drenched view, all year round. On such days, the Kythira Island can be seen. The surrounding areas of Ageranos boast of tranquil, crystal clean beaches, beaches with water activities, as well as walking trails, all nestled amongst plenty of spectacular ruins, waiting for you to discover. (To the left of Ageranos is the beach of Vathi and to the right the beach Kamares. It's also a short distance from the beach Skoutari -6km- and 14κμ from Aeropoli.)
The sun... the sea... the mountains...the tranquility...enticed us to Ageranos, in 1998,the perfect foundation and setting for Thalami. Nestled amongst the glorious olive trees and breath-taking view of the Lakonian Gulf, we chose this idyllic backdrop for a traditional ouzeri, next to the famous Grigorakis Tower. Over the years, the small ouzeri grew with the kind words of encouragement from customers. It developed into a charming restaurant/tavern with all-year round terrace. Our guests enjoy daily fresh fish, seafood appetizers, vegetarian dishes and various meat selections with distinctive Mani and Mediterranean flavours. We Anticipate your visit...as you relax and enjoy this historical jewel!
